M A Griffith offers two methods of trap priming
systems.
MAG-Mifab MR-500 Pressure Drop Trap Primer
This is a mechanical valve which is a automatic - pressure drop trap
primer valve - these are designed to maintain a water-seal in a floor
waste, commonly used in commercial buildings thus preventing foul
smelling air from entering a building.
The valve is connected to a water supply whereby fixtures are upstream
and downstream of the priming valve, when a fixture is operated, this
creates a pressure drop in that line causing the MAG-Mifab primer valve
to deliver a uniform amount of water that feeds the trap maintaining
that water seal.
We also provide a distribution unit which allows more than one trap to
be primed at the same time.
MAG 38003 Electronic Trap Primer
The electronic trap priming system uses a solenoid valve and timer
controller to automatically charge the trap at a preselected on the
timer.
These are normally used in a plant room or at the end of a line where
there are no fixtures, hence no pressure drop.
A 15mm cold water line is directly connected to the valve.
A distribution unit is provided if more than one trap is required to be
charged. We also provide a 'hot water flushing system'
which has as selection of times and is designed operate a solenoid valve
and flush hot water down a greasy waste line - currently used by Coles,
Safeway and Woolworths under chicken cookers to prevent a build up of
grease in the waste line leading to the grease trap. |
